This is how I stitch
Yes, this is honestly how I get most of my stitching done at home. Karma, our pet conure likes to sit with us on the couch while we watch tv. Well, I more listen to the tv as most of the time I am stitching if i'm sitting. Karma actually loves to help me stitch, she pulls the needle through the top of the fabric, and occasionally refuses to give it back. If she sees me sitting and stitching, and I haven't taken her out of her cage she will squawk and call to me until I do. She has never bird-pooped on one of my stitching pieces yet (we have semi-trained her to do it before we take her out of her cage) but I am a little fearful someday she might. Anyway, it is fun to have a pet that enjoys my little hobby as much as I do.
And this is my little finish for the week. Bent Creek's "Boo", I left out the little star in the upper left corner in favor of the cute spider web charm in the bottom right. It only took me three days to whip up. I know, I know! those three days would have been much better spent working on one of my Crazy January pieces, but I am easily distracted by anything Halloween. And with temps hovering around 110 degrees here I am longing for cooler Autumn weather.

I absolutely love your finish!! The little spider web is perfect! That bird is amazing. So well trained.
Your finish is amazing as is your stitchy friend.
Great finish...did you know they sell flight suits for birds?
How cute! And your stitching looks great too!
Birds have such interesting personalitys dont they? - they are also very smart - I had a cockatoo who could drink tea from a cup which he held with one claw - perhaps because he wanted to be doing what I was doing? I dont know but I do know one thing for sure he would have definately put a hole in my linen with his beak - he had a habit of chewing on anything that took his fancy - your bird looks like hes very attached to you - so sweet :)
Karma perching on your hoop like that is absolutely adorable!
That is so neat! I wish my bird could do that.....I wish I had a bird too. :D

I just don't know how you stick that sort of heat! What a clever bird. I trhink I prefer the spider web on your stitching.
Your Halloween finish is just too cute. I know all about being easily extracted...
I think that is so amazing about your bird. I have never owned one, so I am just WOWed by its behavior.
Your finish is lovely and Karma is just great!
Such a lovely little finish. No wonder that you are stitching Halloween pieces at those temperatures - maybe thinking of October/November cools you down a bit, lol. No, but seriously, how can one live through such high temperatures? We are having rather cool and rainy weather and I'm very grateful about it.
Oh how funny ~ love that bird!! You should get a video of her "stitching" with you and show us!
Wow that is so neat about your bird!
Cute finish!
OMG I want a little stiching bird too, so cute!!!
